Supply Chain Risk Game

Insight in supply chain risks

Supply chain risk management has been gaining more and more attention in recent years. Events like 9/11, hurricane Katrina and the financial crisis have contributed to this. In addition, supply chains are becoming more vulnerable because of outsourcing, concentration, globalization and the worldwide transparency and speed of information transfer.

To little attention

Often, it is unclear which supply chain risks a company bears and measures for controlling the risks lack. Supply chain risk management requires a systematic approach from analysis to implementation. However, because it is most often regarded as important but not urgent, supply chain risk management does not get the attention it deserves.

Without a systematic approach, incidents will most likely be handled solely reactively. From a supply chain risk management perspective, an incident is approached proactively: can this be prevented in the future (probability reduction) or can the consequences be reduced in the future (impact reduction)?

The supply chain risk management game

To help you get attention for supply chain risk management, Involvation has developed a supply chain risk management game. In the game, elements of supply chain risk management are demonstrated. The participants are immediately confronted with the consequences of their actions. Therefore, you experiment with your own supply chain without the risk of actual damage.
